CITY VIEWS
Historic Canterbury is a city of mainly low rise
buildings, dominated by the central bulk of the Cathedral,
but animated by taller historic 'punctuation marks' –
parish church towers, the Dane John Mound, Westgate Towers
etc. Four story buildings were comparatively rare until
the building of the Whitefriars Centre and the unversity
buildings of the ring road. |
